چکیده
In this work, natural-based and biodegradable nanofibers were produced by electrospinning for drug delivery wound dressing applications, using gelatin (Gel), chitosan (CS), cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) natural propolis extract. The polymeric formulations parameters optimized, resulting in the development of Gel/CS with mean diameters 97 nm. CNC successfully introduced into optimized solution viscosity conductivity values recorded. developed characterized FESEM, ATR-FTIR, TGA WCA. incorporation different concentrations improved solutions’ electrospinnability membranes’ physical integrity. Defect-free uniform Gel/CS/CNC observed FESEM images, fibers’ slight increased. hydrophilic character was maintained after incorporation. Finally, Gel/CS/CNC/Propolis demonstrated antibacterial activity against both Gram-negative ( E. coli ) Gram-positive S. aureus bacteria.

Reinforcing Poly(ε-caprolactone) Nanofibers with Cellulose Nanocrystals
We studied the use of cellulose nanocrystals (CNXs) obtained after acid hydrolysis of ramie cellulose fibers to reinforce poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) nanofibers. Chemical grafting with low-molecular-weight PCL diol onto the CNXs was carried out in an attempt to improve the interfacial adhesion with the fiber matrix. Grafting was confirmed via infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analyses....
متن کاملLignin-based electrospun nanofibers reinforced with cellulose nanocrystals.
Lignin-based fibers were produced by electrospinning aqueous dispersions of lignin, poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), and cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs). Defect-free nanofibers with up to 90 wt % lignin and 15% CNCs were achieved. The properties of the aqueous dispersions, including viscosity, electrical conductivity, and surface tension, were examined and correlated to the electrospinnability and resu...
متن کاملElectrospinning polyaniline-contained gelatin nanofibers for tissue engineering applications.
Polyaniline (PANi), a conductive polymer, was blended with a natural protein, gelatin, and co-electrospun into nanofibers to investigate the potential application of such a blend as conductive scaffold for tissue engineering purposes. Electrospun PANi-contained gelatin fibers were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electrical conductivity measurement, mechanical tensile tes...
متن کاملSynthesis of Zataria Multiflora extraction loaded chitosan/PEO nanofibers via electrospinning method for potential biomedical applications
Background & Objective: The nanofibers are referred to as fibers with a diameter of less than 1000 nm. There are various ways to make nanofibers, one of which is electrospinning. In this method, nanofibers are formed on aluminum sheets. The conversion of chitosan to derivatives with greater solubility, its mixing with other polymers and the use of special solvents are methods for its ease of us...
متن کاملCellulose nanocrystals: synthesis, functional properties, and applications
Cellulose nanocrystals are unique nanomaterials derived from the most abundant and almost inexhaustible natural polymer, cellulose. These nanomaterials have received significant interest due to their mechanical, optical, chemical, and rheological properties. Cellulose nanocrystals primarily obtained from naturally occurring cellulose fibers are biodegradable and renewable in nature and hence th...
